A poem of Qudsi Mashhadi, Iranian Poet, used as lyric in a song

Ghodsi Mashhadi, (Also written as Qudsi) is a Persian poet and man of letter of 17^th century, migrated to India.

I just watched this music video and posted it on my Twitter page and felt like to share the lyric in Persian and English here:

Here is the a brief introduction of the poet and his poem in Persian, followed by what I understood of the poems and could translate in English:

از ویکی‌پدیا، دانشنامهٔ آزاد

 حاجی محمّدجان قدسی مشهدی مشهور به قدسی مشهدی یکی از شاعران و سخنوران ایرانی قرن یازدهم هجری قمری است. او در ابتدای زندگی از طریق بقالی زندگی می‌کرد اما پس از آنکه در شاعری مشهور شد به هندوستان رفت و وارد دربار شاه جهان شد. از 

قدسی مشهدی دیوان برجای مانده که در سال ۱۳۷۵ توسط انتشارات دانشگاه فردوسی مشهد به کوشش محمّد قهرمان به چاپ رسید

همچو خورشید به عالم نظری ما را بس

نفس گرم و دل پر شرری ما را بس

خنده در گلشن گیتی به گل ارزانی باد

همچو شبنم به جهان چشم تری ما را بس

گر چه دانم که میسر نشود روز وضال

در شب هجر امید سحری ما را بس

اگر از دیده کوته نظران افتادیم

نیست غم صحبت صاحب نظری ما را بس

در جهانی که نباشد ز کسی نام و نشان

قدسی از گفته شیوا اثری ما را بس

Good enough, a glance at the world like the Sun,

Good enough, a warm breath and a glowing heart!

Blooming is awarded to flower in the garden of earth,

Good enough, tears on our eyes like a dewdrop!

Knowing that reunion with my love will not happen,

Good enough, the hope for the dawn arriving after this dark night!

Although not appreciated from narrow-minded

Good enough, to dialog with those who understand!

In a world that may not remain from someone much,

Good enough, if remains from Ghodsi (1), a pleasant rhyme!
